Myself: "Certainly." The Stranger: "How can you claim that you had written 37 books. Despite, the fact that you black people cannot read or write too well? You......" Myself: "EXCUSE ME!" The Stranger: "I just want you to answer the question." - End Quote. Taken by surprise, do you know that I just turned around and walked away from that rascist, white bastard. I took a deep breath and thought of how people comes up to you for no good reason. Who the fuck does he thinks he is talking to? I have every one of my manuscripts inside differently colored folders and they are stacked up one on top of each other in my bedroom. My family and my few friends know that I wrote all of my books over the years. I was not even in this country when I began writting novels, so no asshole is going to come up to me and insult me like that again. Trust me, if I had trully answered him. He would have probably called the police for me by now. I have learned to ignore many idiots like the one I met today. And all of you know very well that if I was a white woman. That stranger would have complimented me on my work instead. Take Care! |
Jonella, how sad to people who have this kind of mentality. I certainly knows how it feels. I used to work as a supervisor in a big retail company and I have been insulted by both co-workers and guests and also by both races. If only I am not there to work, it could have been a different story. I am the only Asian in the entire story. I have been humiliated, called dumb and so on. Which in fact I have a bachelors degree than any of them. Isn't it ironic? It is really sad. I hope you feel better and I will be checking on you every once in a while. OMG How dare he! You did good to just walk away. I mean what can you say too such a ignorant person? I guess it's just the way he was raised. The hell with him. For him to not believe in he sure did go out of his way to do research about you. Let this be a learning experience because your going to see more of this as you accompish your goals.
